Thank you for choosing to support Jagathitaye Social Welfare Foundation (“we,” “our,” or “us”).
Your generous contributions help us continue our mission to promote social welfare, education, and community development.
We value the trust of our donors and are committed to maintaining transparency. This Donation Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which a donation may be canceled or refunded.
1. Donations Are Non-Refundable
All donations made to Jagathitaye Social Welfare Foundation through our official website https://jagathitaye.org are treated as final contributions to our charitable causes.
As a non-profit organization, funds are typically allocated immediately to ongoing projects and welfare programs; hence, we do not offer refunds or cancellations once a donation is successfully processed.
2. Exceptions for Refund
Refunds may be considered only in the following exceptional circumstances:
- Duplicate donation made due to a technical error or network issue
- Incorrect amount entered by the donor accidentally
- Unauthorized transaction due to fraud or payment gateway error
In such cases, donors must notify us within 7 days of the transaction date by writing to donations@jagathitaye.org with the following details:
- Full name of the donor
- Transaction ID and date
- Donation amount
- Mode of payment
- Reason for refund request
Our team will review each request carefully, and genuine cases will be refunded within 10–15 working days after verification.
Refunds, if approved, will be made via the same mode of payment used during the donation.
3. Cancellation of Recurring Donations
If you have set up a recurring donation (monthly, quarterly, etc.), you may request cancellation by emailing us at donations@jagathitaye.org at least 7 days prior to the next scheduled transaction date.
Once canceled, no further donations will be deducted from your account.
4. Third-Party Payment Gateways
All donations are processed securely through authorized payment gateway partners (such as Razorpay, PayU, etc.).
We are not responsible for any technical issues, transaction failures, or delays caused by the payment processor. In such cases, donors are encouraged to contact both the gateway provider and our support team for assistance.
5. Tax Exemption and Receipts
Donations made to Jagathitaye Social Welfare Foundation may be eligible for tax exemption under applicable laws (e.g., Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, if approved).
In case of a refund, the corresponding donation receipt and tax exemption certificate (if issued) will become invalid.
